Hello!
Thank you for trying a bottle from my latest batch of Hell Honey™ Hot Sauce.
The complex heat in this bottle comes from our classic fermented blend of floral habaneros, earthy serranos, and sweet red bell peppers, rounded out with fresh roasted pineapple, lime juice, distilled vinegar, and additional spices. You’ll find that it has a subtle funkiness from the ferment and brightness from the lime juice and brine that accentuate the nice layered heat! It’s a versatile sauce, but some of my favorite meals with it are chicken, eggs, sandwiches, and tacos. It’s also a great addition to marinades for meats and vegetables.
Some more information about the sauce:
Fermented on 12/24/2022, brewed and bottled on 1/01/2023.
Ingredients: pineapple, habanero, red bell pepper, onion, serrano, distilled vinegar, brine (water & kosher salt), lime juice, garlic, black peppercorn, hibiscus flower, cardamom, cumin, paprika.
For best storage, keep your bottle in the fridge, shake it up before using it, and wipe any sauce off the mouth area when you’re re-capping.
We don’t add any gums or emulsifiers, so separation is totally normal (just shake it up well before use).
It will last for at least several more months if kept properly. That said, we’re going through a bottle every week in our house, no joke!
I hope you enjoy your new sauce, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. I’m always iterating and tweaking based on feedback from others! To learn more about Hell Honey™, follow us on Instagram and check out our website. Tag us and DM your photos to be featured on our IG page!
